Environmental policy and administrative management

As there exists a market failure in context of Viral Hepatitis hence the main victims of the disease are poor and marginalized subgroups of the population. Hence controlling the environmental factors responsible for disease spread and modifying the health seeking behaviors is the only cost effective way for disease control and breaking the perpetual cycle of poverty. Funds received from the GEF would be utilized on proposed activities and other resources would be used to implement the project well and achieve the targeted aims/objectives. UNDP/GEF SGP has declared Badin as its geographic focus area for coming four years. The present activity will be implemented in this district, which directly contributes to add value to the strategic interventions of GEF in the area, besides its direct impact on poverty alleviation. Proposed activity directly contributes to MDGs.
