The drastic effects on island coastlines because of Invasive species are visible throughout The Bahamas. The project s activities address the education and removal of the presence of invasive species along the coastline and near shore habitats in two national parks. The primary goal of this project is to improve the quality of specified areas within Bonefish Pond and Moriah Harbour Cay National Parks. The project s objectives include: 1. Raise the public s knowledge levels of the impacts of invasive species on coastline ecosystems. 2. Increase public knowledge levels of invasive species. 3. Raise awareness of their impacts on coastal ecosystems in nearby communities. 4. Improve the impacted coastline areas by removing invasive species and planting native trees.
