The project aimed to save, cultivate and develop this old breed Bovinae Bu a (an autochthon group of cattle throughout Balkan Peninsula, including Eastern Bulgaria and Greece), on the territory of Male evo region (the eastern part of Macedonia) and at the same time to promote organic dairy production. In order to achieve this, the following project activities were envisioned: Adaptation/Preparation of the cowshed; Procurement/forming of a parent drove of cattle and breeding/ reproduction of the breed of Bovinae Bu a; Engagement of a Veterinarian and organizing sanitary and health protection; Organizing and holding of workshop in order to promote/ support of local specialties (dairy and meat products) made from Bovinae Bu a, to create a regional identity and Brand; and to raise awareness to keep this breed alive in the local population.
