Development of branding strategy for organic products of Mission Organic in Meghalaya
and Mizoram
|
1. Background:
GIZ is implementing Climate Change Adaptation – North Eastern Region of India (CCA-NER) as
part of The Indo-German Environment Programme in Rural Areas (IGEP-RA). Realising the
importance of organic farming for Climate Change Adaptation, GIZ proposes to support the two
States in developing marketing and branding strategy for their respective mission organic.
Objectives of the assignment
The objective is to develop comprehensive branding strategy for most potential organic agriculture
products of “mission organic” in the States of Meghalaya and Mizoram. The expected tasks will
include consultations with organic producers and other value chain participants, and all
stakeholders; study of status of implementation of organic mission in the State of Meghalaya and
Mizoram and development of communication strategy for organic branding for various value chain
participants of the identified organic products and presentation of institutional analysis and
infrastructure gap analysis for organic branding.
