TENDER NOTICE

To

Procure Ecotourism equipment for the Himachal Pradesh Forest Ecosystem Services (HP-FES) project under the Indo-German Biodiversity programme. The project is being implemented by Himachal Pradesh Forest Department (HPFD) and GIZ India

The German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) has commissioned Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) to work with Himachal Pradesh Forest Department on integration of forest ecosystem services (FES) approach into forest management in Himachal Pradesh. Demonstration site selection and baseline survey were two key project activities to be accomplished before microplanning. The process of using FES approach in micro planning is being an entry point for institutionalizing FES approach in management and planning processes of HPFD.

HP-FES project has prepared Ecotourism based micro plan for two demonstration sites (Shanghar-GHNP Forest division; Hamta, Kullu Forest division) in Himachal Pradesh using participatory approaches. Where ecotourism business opportunities were identified, one of which was trekking guide. These micro plans are in line with Forest ecosystem services approach to be introduced in the management plan.
