Scoping study on the for trainingfor bankers and agri-extension workers for the promotion of solar water pumps in India

The Promoting Solar Water Pumps (PSWP) component of the ‘Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH’ (GIZ) Indo-German Energy Programme is a bilateral technical co- operation measure between the Federal Ministry for Economic Co-operation and Development (BMZ), Germany, and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), Government of India. The GIZ - PSWP component has been mandated to explore training options for financial institutions and agri-extension workers to support the Indian Government in the sustainable promotion of Solar Water Pumps.

As part of the PSWP module, GIZ is therefore seeking the services of a specialized firm or a consortium of experts, to prepare a scoping, framework and approach study documenting: the stakeholders, the framework; the options; the most promising approaches; the advantages and challenges of the most promising approaches; the best approaches for designing training materials, the types of training, level of intervention and key features; and to support the PSWP team in preparing additional documentation on the topic; for training bankers and agri-extension workers for the promotion of solar water pumps in India, in order to promote, expand and speed- up the roll-out of sustainable Solar Water Pumps in India.
