The Promotion of Solar Water Pumps component of the Indo-German Energy Programme (PSWP-IGEN) is a bilateral technical co-operation measure between the Federal Ministry for Economic Co-operation and Development (BMZ), Germany and the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE), India. BMZ has commissioned the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH (GIZ) with the implementation of the IGEN-PSWP module which aims at promoting sustainable use of solar water pumps across India, with a focus on Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. The MNRE is developing a dedicated and comprehensive national portal for monitoring implementation of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (PM KUSUM) schme which targets addition of 1.75 million off-grid and 1 million on-grid pumps, and installation of 10 GW of rural solar power plants by 2022. Simultaneously, states are also developing state portals for the scheme’s implementation. GIZ is supporting this through creation of new web-platforms or upgrading existing ones. In this regard, IGEN-PSWP seeks services of an individual IT consultant who can (1) provide advisory support for designing and managing the project for development, implementation and integration of national and state portals for PM KUSUM, and (2) advisory support to PSWP project on IT-related tasks.
